Banju & Saxmode
From the Southport-spawned duo of Banju & Saxmode comes this housiest of house tracks. Having long collaborated at live events across North West UK, Caramello is their debut recording together.
"We initially went into the studio to record a track for a promotional video," explains Saxmode, "but decided the tune was chuggin' too much for that, so we took the techy bull by its horns."
Crediting Michael Bibi, Marco Lys, and Moon Hooch among her influences, Saxmode's brawny horn work pairs perfectly with Banju's synthesized groove to bring Caramello to life. "Driving to the studio," she recalls, "we listened to some Luciano and Patrick Topping sets. Definitely got us in the mood."
Joining Banju & Saxmode's original mix are two banging house remixes from Danny Jay and Tom One.
